The Louisville FBI Organized Crime Program is charged with the identification, disruption, and dismantlement of existing and emerging Organized Criminal Enterprises whose activities affect the Commonwealth of Kentucky or the United States. These  may be traditional well entrenched organizations such as the La Cosa Nostra and Italian-Organized Crime, Eurasian, African or Asian Criminal Enterprises, or non-traditional Organized Criminal Enterprises. These groups are involved in alien smuggling, home invasions, robberies, armed commercial robberies of computer chips and other high tech products, credit card fraud as well as traditional Organized Crime activities, such as extortion, murder, kidnaping, prostitution, loansharking and gambling.
