Covington, Ky. — Gregory Banks, Jr., 27 of Liberty Township, Ohio was sentenced today to 5 years in prison for Distributing Crack Cocaine in Covington Ky., by United States District Judge David L. Bunning.

In December of 2007, Banks pleaded guilty to the charges and admitted that on November 8th, 2006 in Covington Ky. he sold 4.67 grams of crack cocaine for $250.00 and also on December 28th, 2006, he sold 6.54 grams of crack cocaine for $225.00

Under federal law, Banks must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence, and upon release, will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for 4 years.

James A. Zerhusen, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Larry R. Willis, acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), jointly made the announcement today after sentencing

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force. The United States was represented by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony J. Bracke.
