LONDON, Ky. — Terry Davidson, 41, of Oneida, Ky. pleaded guilty today before by United States District Court Judge Danny C. Reeves to charges that he removed Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN.)

Davidson admitted that in May 2003 and continuing through July 2003, he knowingly removed the dashboard and VIN from a 2000 Nissan Frontier and replaced it with a different VIN and dashboard from another 2000 Nissan Frontier.

Davidson is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 26 at 11:00 a.m. He faces a maximum of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and no more than three years of supervised release.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau for Investigation and the Kentucky State Police. The United States is represented in the case by Assistant United States Attorney Sam Dotson and was represented at the plea by Assistant United States Attorney Gregory A. Ousley.
